Classroom exercises are important for student memory. The area of the brain involved is the hippocampus. It keeps information.

Students need to move around. Therefore, there is a reason to use a daily exercise routine. As the gym or playground is not always workable or practical to use, short classroom exercises are valuable. Studies show a correlation between a student’s heart and lung activity and academic success. The success relates to the core subjects of language and math. Cardio activities improve concentration and memory.

Classroom exercises are simple and quick. It takes less than 10 minutes to do. There are several exercises to choose.

  • Tricep dips using a step, chair, or desk.
  • Arm stretching while sitting or standing.

It’s best to make sure students do not have health problems or conditions that restrict a particular physical activity. Also, make sure there is enough space for students to move about for a particular exercise. Students benefit from movement in the classroom.
