Holidays are a time for teachers, students, and parents to regroup. All must rest and take time to enjoy the days off of school. All must get away from the school climate and move toward family culture. A holiday break gives families a chance to bond.

Relaxation is necessary for the health of the family as well as the individual. Everyone enjoys a chance to recharge. Holidays are for fun and relaxing. Thus, students become smarter, build an emotional and social foundation, and give them a chance to explore their natural curiosity.

Holidays and Emotional Development

Traveling during the holidays impacts a student’s mental development. Family experiences during the holiday activate the student’s brain, according to Dr. Sunderoland. Thus, triggers feel-good chemicals. These chemicals reduce stressing activate warm feelings of love.

When students experience new things and places, they learn. Their mind is expanded. New pursuits challenge them and increase their skills and understanding.

During a holiday, students increase social skills because they meet a wide range of people. They learn to interact in a normal setting rather than in the classroom. Also, as children interact with others, they practice conversation and other social skills.

Students go through many emotions in school. A holiday provides children with a chance for relaxation. They can acknowledge the fear of the classroom and have the opportunity to concentrate on self-care. Because of this, children can return to their habit of doing what they enjoy.

There are many activities other than travel that stimulates learning with a break from formal learning. So,  a break from homework, school projects, and the stress of the classroom are vital. Travel and/or at-home activities are important for teachers, students, and parents. Plus, there is new learning without stress.
