School trips are important for student learning. No matter if students are in school part or full time, or totally remote, they have cabin fever. However, many places for a school trip are either closed or have a limit on attendance. However, nothing can match up to the real thing, a virtual field trip can closely compare. Many vacation locations have virtual trips available for students. These virtual trips include resources and age-appropriate activities for students.

- Farms offer students an experience of egg production.
- Landmarks provide views that engage students. Some have cameras that capture nesting birds.
- Many factories have online tours for students.
- Older students can visit a courthouse for live streaming to see government in action.
Field trips, whether virtual or in-person have advantages. Even though some places are open, research indicates it may not be advisable for in-person attendance. Additionally, placing children on school buses may not be advisable. Therefore, virtual is the answer.
